Weekend Roll: Good Weather Until It Wasn't
NYC racing is only three (3) weeks away! And its starting to feel like it. In the name of Lisa Vandivort's recent annual celebration of birth, the squad and CityMD Women's Racing Team friends came out in force to knock-out some Cycle-Smart prescribed intervals and some not-so-prescribed french pastries.
As the season nears, training plans are continuing to diverge as race targets and general cycling goals spread the group out. Saturday was no different, which seems to be an unavoidable aspect of structured training on group rides despite the team coaching plan. So planning a common rendezvous-turn around spot was a great solution. Patisserie Didier Dumas in the Village of Nyack was a new stop for me, and definitely one that I intend on returning to.
With temperatures hitting 50 degrees Fahrenheit in the City, it promised to be a lovely day. But the rain came exactly when forecasted, causing a very very cold and wet ride home, which - if the 2017 season was any indicator for 2018 - are great conditions to get used to riding in.
Today's team ride was presented by NYC's lovely winter weather. #outsideiswetandcold #type2fun

Making the most of one of the last weekends to feature fall foliage before winter settles onto NYC
This weekend, a band of TBDers ventured north to seek those open pastures of congestion-free roads and a sizable dose of Autumn color. With a mix of gear, from slick-tired ‘cross bikes to aero road bikes with rim brakes, we came to party.

With a small crew racing Charm City CX it was one of those big team ride weekends for the rest of the squad
While riding the dirt roads from reservoir to reservoir in Westchester County we may have missed out on our dam goal but we had a damn fine day on the bike.
The first double header weekend of cyclocross is in the books at Nittany Cyclocross. Part I of the TBD recap covers images from two fast and hot days of racing.
When you're not quite ready for cyclocross season to start heading to the trails seems like a perfect alternative. Then people start falling off bridges into the mud below....
While some of the squad was in action at races in Delaware and Vermont, To Be Determined's Matthew Vandivort headed to the woods for a mental reset before cyclocross season gets underway.
